📈 Sales & Business Development
This involves finding and qualifying new business opportunities.
Lead Generation: Actively prospect and identify new potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, social media (like LinkedIn), networking, and attending industry events.
Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, moving leads through different stages from initial contact to a qualified opportunity.
Meet Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Market Research: Identify and research target industries and companies to understand their specific IT needs and potential pain points.
🤝 Consultative & Solution Selling
This is the core "IT" part of the role, focusing on solving problems rather than just selling products.
Needs Analysis: Conduct in-depth discovery calls with prospects to understand their current technology environment, business challenges, and long-term goals.
Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and technical product demonstrations that showcase how a solution (e.g., software, hardware, or a managed service) directly solves the client's problem.
Solution Design: Collaborate with pre-sales engineers or technical support teams to design a customized, comprehensive solution that fits the client's needs and budget.
Proposal & Quoting: Create detailed proposals, quotes, and respond to formal RFPs (Requests for Proposals) that clearly outline the scope of work, technical specifications, and return on investment (ROI).
Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, contract terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to close the deal profitably.
🧑💼 Account & Relationship Management
This involves managing and growing existing client accounts.
Client Relationship: Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of client accounts, building long-term, strategic relationships.
Upselling & Cross-selling: Identify opportunities within existing accounts to sell additional services (cross-sell) or upgrade existing ones (upsell), such as adding a cybersecurity package to a network infrastructure client.
